Colt 1903 Grips [DISCONTINUED]
The Colt 1903/1908 Pocket Hammerless Pistol is the ultimate pocket pistol: smooth, flat and concealable. The 1903 comes in the 32 ACP caliber. The 1908 variant was in .380 ACP. Both versions look the same and take the same grips. This pistol was designed by John Browning and Colt produced approximately 570,00 between 1903 and 1945. This pistol has a storied cultural history. It was issued to the Shanghai police in the 1930s. It was the US Army and Air Force General Officers pistol from WWII to the 1970s. (General Patton had four stars put on the grips of his 1908.) Gangsters like Al Capone carried them. Bonnie smuggled one into a jail to spring Clyde in 1932. But its widest identification comes from film noir and thriller movies of the 1930s and 1940s. Humphrey Bogart always seemed to be posing with one of the pistols.
Colt Pocket 25 Grips [DISCONTINUED]
The Colt Vest Pocket 25 ACP pistol was another John Browning design. It was small, only 4.5" long and was readily concealable in a waistcoat. Normally it came in the beautiful Colt Royal Blue finish but occasionally was nickel plated. It should not be confused with the Colt Junior 25 ACP. They look similar, but the Junior was made by Astra (in Spain) and imported by Colt from 1958 to the 1970s. The grips are not interchangeable between these two pistols.
